Beaches
Margarita Island has a wide variety of oustanding beaches for all tastes. The most famous and known beach is definitively Playa El Agua where most of the hotels, and resorts are located. Nevertheless, there are even more beautiful beaches. Here, we wuold like to show you a small sample of the most popular beaches among the visitors.
Renting a car or hiring a cab is the best way to travel around the whole island. There is informationn about fees in the section of Transport>Taxis and Busses
Here we will present the beaches clockwise from the Airport. There are a lot of little known beaches, such as El Tunal, and La Pared in Peninsula de Macanao.
At most beaches, there are chairs and sunshades for rent, restaurants, and typical food stands. Furthermore, something interesting is that you can get very close to the shore with your vehicle.
The climate on the island is always sunny and nice even during the rainy season. It usually rains in the morning but by the afternoon, it is sunny again. Completely rainy days on the island are very uncommon throughout the year.
Avoid the sun from 11.00 a.m. until 2.00 p.m. since the sun is really strong during that period of time. Wear sun screen with a high FPS.
