Isla de Margarita offers a wide variety of cultural options.For up to date information, we recommend that you consult El Sol de Margarita (local newspaper) on Friday as this is when the cultural schedule is published. Some local cultural organizations with monthly timetable of events are:
Casa de la Cultura RVB: it is located on the way to the former airport in Porlamar.
Cinemateca de Pampatar: it screens arthouse films in the evenings, and at weekends.
Casa de la Cultura de la Asunción: it is opposite Plaza Bolivar in la Asuncion. Cultural events are sometimes held here.
Librería Kuaimare: it is on Avenida Aldonza Manrique in the Playa El Angel residential area. They have all kinds of books, and new publications are sometimes, launched here.
Librería Tecnibooks: it is located in Centro Comercial AB. It is a bookshop with trendy books, and new publications are sometimes launched here.
