International Flights

In order to travel to Margarita Island, you will need to take a flight to Caracas. The main airport in Caracas is located in Maiquetía (45 minutes by car from the capital). Thanks to the new conexion system betwen the national and international airports through hall 11, security at the airport has improved a lot.

There are several flights from Caracas to Porlamar scheduled everyday on different airlines. We recommend you plan 3 hour for your domestic conexion. It will be necesary to collect your luggage at the international airport and check it back at the counter of the domestic airline that will take you to Porlamar, Margarita (at the National terminal).

Our best recommendation is Laser Airline, since it is one of the few puntual airlines in the country. http://www.laser.com.ve
