Special events are always disclosed in the local newspaper like El Sol de Margarita.
Many tourists as well as local people spend their leisure time at shopping centers such as Sambil. Sambil is a massive mall where you can find movie theaters, travel agencies, famous brand shops, foodcourt, bars, and even a Bingo room.
Moreover, a new even bigger mall is being built nearby Hilton Hotel, La Vela Mall. It will be finished in December 2009.
The cultural activities are very wide as well. At the Pampatar's Cinematheque, you can watch a different Latinamerican film everyday. Also, films are shown on Mondays at 19:00 at Libreria Kuaimere on Avenida Aldonza Manrique in the Playa El Angel area.
