Playa El Agua

Playa el Agua is the best known beach on the Island. Here you will find most of the hotels, resorts, spas, and inns on the island. The beach is approximately 3 kilometers long, and it is possible to rent awnings and chairs.
The swell is quite heavy and the sea can sometimes be dangerous due to the currents. On Playa El Agua there are several agencies, money exchange shops, mini markets, corner shops, and car rental offices.
There is always a lot do at El Agua throughout the year. The crime rate has recently gone up and so it is not advisable to walk around late at night. Discos and clubs are not as safe as they used to be. The island is constantly changing and there are other beaches and places that are quieter and safer, for example Playa Parguito.
As taxis are not very expensive, and it is also possible to rent a car, you can also visit other beaches even if you are staying at Playa El Agua.
